Local farm houses
We're taking a look at pictures in the Archive of local farms...do you know anything about the houses or anyone who lived in them ?
Take a walk down the oldest part of Main St...
A peek over the fence and you find the farmhouse which used to be the home of the Lords of the Manor of 'Newbold-de-Vurdun'.

Built around 1690
Close by is the site of a much earlier moated medieval hall.

The building became the farmhouse in the mid/late 1700s.

...just opposite the War Memorial.
